A returning seafarer will be greeted by a familiar sight looking back towards the island.The Architecture reflects the gentle dance of elegant waves across the shimmer of the sea. Boasting an enclave of resorts clustered in a lush oasis and a well equipped clubhouse with an array of amenities, the structures have been orientated to harness the spectacular view of the Marina.
Hotel & Marina development , located in Malaysia is situated along a tranquil coast with an internal lagoon housing the marina facilities. Emphasis has been placed on spatial planning and distribution of facilities to harness both the breathtaking views of the Marina and the coastal line.
Conceptual design for luxury marina housing clubhouse facilities, a shopping promenade and hotel suites. The design is inspired by wave-like movements that is fluid and interweaving.
Strategically locating activity nodes in the master plan to activate the elongated sites was key to ensure a vibrant boardwalk. Planned to be an iconic establishment that is in full view of towering office buildings across the bank, a bold and exciting form was born.
The proposed design is a reflection of the Company’s new leap to pave way in setting a strong identity in moving forward. Utilizing the existing and extended structure, a dynamic facade peels away to reveal a strong and bold revelation of the corporate identity; paying homage to historic roots. Sited along the expressway, it sets a bold new statement to the context of the urban fabric.
The interrelation of spaces have been composed to improve workflow and productivity with multiple insertions of communal spaces for a more humanistic routine.
The architecture has a mix of metallic and red pigments. Red, being Copytron’s brand colour, is set as the base colour of the façade. A pixelated façade completes and updates the building with a modern technological impression, signifying the company’s entry into the digital age.
The structure’s pre-existing windows occur in the center of the building. Rather than to take focus away from the original structural design, the new building entrance design seeks to add on, complement and build upon the beauty of the building’s pre-existing window facade.
The design language of this architecture lies at the heart of connectivity, with the flight of stairs serving as the main conduit of conveying information and encouraging communication across the entire space. The usage of interesting geometric shapes and a monochromatic colour scheme not only fosters familial and spatial interactivity but also increases light flow to the entire place.
With the concept of simplicity and contemporary design, the house is designed with a row of sky lights that allow indirect sunlight to illuminate and permeate the heart of this dwelling.
The façade is created for an uninterrupted view of the garden lawn with a full height window pane that allows one to experience the relaxing effect of the garden presented before oneself without actually being in the garden. A sheltered balcony takes it place in the attic, exuding an unassuming but calm and quiet personality.
